Back in February, the wooden full-scale model of the forthcoming deck layout of Bernard Stamm’s 60-foot monohull was worked on down to the finest detail in the Decision S.A. yard in Lausanne.

 

The skipper and his team spent many hours thinking about every little element, studying all the manoeuvres required to handle the boat. That is how the final deck layout was chosen and work could begin on the mould.

Ahead of schedule
In close collaboration with Andrea Avaldi, who is in charge of structural load calculations for Juan Yacht Design, the construction materials were approved after a long series of tests. Everything has been assembled at great speed. This month, they reached an important stage in the project. Bernard Stamm and his team defined the beam of the 60-foot boat, meaning that the designer Juan Kouyoumdjian was left to work on the final shape of the hull.
