Vincent Riou returned to Port La Forêt during the night after around 36 hours of sailing. The skipper of PRB completed the 300 miles that he still needed to cover to confirm his qualification for The Artemis Transat.
This short voyage was compulsory for Vincent because of his new mast. Vincent Riou: “We did a curved route around the south of Brittany.” This journey was also an opportunity for him to try out some of the new features on board, in particular the sliding roof cover. “It’s really great, very comfortable,” added the skipper of PRB.
As for the rest and in particular the famous strakes – a sort of chine added to the front third on each side of the boat -, the voyage was too short and the weather not heavy enough to make any real judgement.
