Jean Le Cam’s 60-foot Open, which came second in the last Vendée Globe (formerly Bonduelle) was relaunched last week in Port La Forêt and is now sailing under the colours of her new sponsor VM Matériaux. After several weeks of work being done on her, Jean was able to test out his boat with fuchsia pink replacing her old yellow colours.
The fastest in Douarnenez...
Present in Douarnenez last weekend to take part in the Défi Petit Navire, Jean Le Cam was able to see what his baot was really capable of out on the water. This initial trial was satisfactory, as VM Matériaux achieved the best times for the 60-foot Open class over a course of 3 nautical miles, which she covered in 11´ 47" at an average speed of 15 knots.
