Roland Jourdain may have the inside of Veolia Environnement like a boatyard but he is staying with Michel Desjoyeaux as the leading pair deal with the high pressure zone before they are expected to be hit by much stronger winds tomorrow

Desjoyeaux leads by 188.9 miles with Jourdain quicker by one knot this evening.

Armel Le Cléac’h has gained 50 miles since early this morning and is now 713 miles behind, while Sam Davies is closing fast on Cape Horn making nearly 15 knots.

With 200 miles to go she looks likely to round some time between 0630hrs and 1000hrs Sunday morning, while Marc Guillemot is fastest this evening making 16.6 knots.

Brian Thompson is doing a respectable 13 knots, reined in while he repairs the longitudinal stringer on Bahrain Team Pindar.

Dee Caffari has lost out to Arnaud Boissières meantime and is now 13 miles behind.

PRB is being towed by “VAEHARE”, which left Ushuaia this morning and is on her way back to Ushuaia.  Anne Le Cam and Michel Olivier are aboard  the tug. Jean Le Cam and Vincent Riou are on board PRB and they are due to arrive in Ushuaia this evening.
