The official Vendée Globe website will now be offering you a video round-up every two months. Quite simply because the next Vendée Globe (2012) is already being prepared today by some competitors we have seen before and by some newcomers.

Even if he will not be lining up at the start of the next race, the twice winner Michel Desjoyeaux has already begun work on the construction of his new 60-foot Foncia and in an exclusive interview tells us about what this VPLP-Verdier design will look like. His former fellow competitor Vincent Riou has been working for months too on the construction of his latest PRB, which is due to be launched in mid-February. We met up with him at the boatyard, where he is working on the final details. Among the features in this first video report, we also pay a visit to Sébastien Audigane, who is busy looking for a sponsor for the 2012-2013 Vendée Globe. And to finish there is Bernard Stamm with his new 60-foot IMOCA project, which is being built at the Decision yard in Switzerland. Bernard gives us the first details about his latest monohull designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian.
