Zbigniew « Gutek » Gutkowski finished third of the RORC Carribean 600 race in the CSA Overall class. The ENERGA skipper is the first Pole to finish on the podium of this regatta, organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club. He is happy with his very encouraging performance before the next Transat Jacques Vabre.
« The RORC Caribbean 600 was a tough challenge between the best boats and the best crews in the world and I wanted to do my very best out there. With a 3-people crew and such a tactically complex route, the task was difficult. The three of us did what it took 20 people to do on other boats similar to ours. We have reached our goal, this is what we hoped for, and I'm very glad we did. »
On February 28, « Gutek » will compete in the Heineken Regatta and, in April, he will try to set a new solo record between New York and Cape Lizard. These tests come early in the year and they are part of the ENERGA monohull's preparation for the Transat Jacques Vabre.
