Sam Davies back at sea

After two days of intensive work on Savéol, Sam Davies was back at sea on Monday morning, along with her boat captain Erwan Lemeilleur. On board her now engine-driven boat, the British yachtswoman will first go to Caniiçal, 10 nautical miles away, to install a 7-meter mast. Then, she will then head to France.

I'm glad that you are sailing your boat back home. I wish that there was another race with these boats and great skippers (like you) that was done like the Volvo race. If we could just let the boats get fixed and ship them to the next way point it would make for a much better race for all. I know that solo nonstop is the point of THIS race but gosh I hate to see all the time, money, and dreams dashed so early on. With the Volvo race at least you get a second chance.

Sam~ Glad to see you are back on the water. But still sorry that you are no longer in the race. You still are my champion. Sure would like to know that we will see you in the next Vendee Globe. I'm sure it is too early to find out about that, but still hoping. I think you can WIN!!!!

Our dearest Sam, In one of my past comments I said, "...keep the big stick side up" but I did not know it would be such a balancing act to do so! Who knew the thing would just hop off the trolley when you weren't looking?! You may be interested to know we are still tuning-in to see whatever you're doing at the moment. You have some kind of magnetic mojo, girl. Don't let the icky feelings fade your spirit. Those of us at home are like vampires. We feed on your smile.
