Forecast for the start
Weather
November 08. 2008© Météo France
After a rainy front passes over early on Sunday morning, the skies will clear and the south-westerly wind, which for a short while will reach more than 25 knots will ease off temporarily to 10-15 knots and veer WSW'ly.
Just as the racers are getting underway, the SW'ly (230-240°) wind will increase again to between 15 and 18 knots.
The sea will remain rough with 2.5 to 3m high waves.
The first night is going to be far from quiet for the competitors, as the wind will gradually strengthen and the seas will become heavier.
