Benjamin Dutreux's Vendée Globe 2024 project is in good shape. The skipper who lives in Les sables d’Olonne who was ninth on the Vendée Globe 2020-2021 in 81 days on a boat with straight daggerboards has announced a new partner whose colours will be on the IMOCA which was previously Alex Thomson’s Hugo Boss on which he finished second in 2016-17.

Dutreux’s new partner is Guyot Environnement who have been active in sailing in the Figaro class  for more than ten years. And so the project is now Guyot Environnement - Water Family, the skipper staying with promoting the association he has been promoting since before his Vendée Globe.

Dutreux, his brother and his team have been working on the boat at the yard they own just outside Les Sables d’Olonne. Guyot Environnement – ​​Water Family will probably be at the start of the Guyader Bermudes 1000 Race and then June’s Vendée Arctic Les Sables-d’Olonne race this spring, followed by the Azimut Challenge and the Route du Rhum
