Benjamin Dutreux announces the construction of a new IMOCA for the 2028 Vendée Globe

Benjamin Dutreux announced on Thursday the construction of a latest-generation IMOCA for the 2028 Vendée Globe. The boat will be designed by Antoine Koch and built in collaboration with Yoann Richomme's Team Paprec.

Having made his mark in the 2020 Vendée Globe with a 9th place finish on a boat with straight daggerboards, then confirming his status as one of the leading skippers in the 2024 edition, the Vendée-based sailor is now taking a new step in his career.

We're now entering a new dimension: the goal is clearly to be among the frontrunners.

The project is supported by 4CAD Group, an expert in industrial digital transformation, as a major partner, and remains open to a second partner wishing to join the campaign.
