Convinced by Fabrice Amedeo's personality and his environmental approach - a round-the-world race without fossil fuels and with on-board oceanographic sensors - FDJ United has made a long-term commitment. The skipper will be sailing his current IMOCA Open 60 (Owen Clarke 2007 design) in 2025, but his ambition is to acquire a more recent boat to compete in the Vendée Globe in 2028 with a higher sporting objective. He is currently looking for a co-partner to complete his budget.
Fabrice Amedeo will set off again in 2028 for a 4th Vendée Globe with FDJ United
After completing his second Vendée Globe in 2024, Fabrice Amedeo has announced that he will be lining up at the start of the 2028 edition. The skipper will be sponsored by FDJ United (formerly Française des Jeux), which is now the title partner of his project. This collaboration began during the Vendée Globe 2024, when the company was a secondary partner.
