Since the event was announced, individuals and local associations alike have come forward in large numbers, offering their support and volunteering for logistics. Macif, the FFVoile, the IMOCA class, OC Sport, the Brittany region, and the Finistère department have also stepped up with financial backing. This collective momentum reaches far beyond the sailing world, uniting everyone alongside Charlie's wife, Perrine, and the organizers, to carry forward the message that mattered so deeply to him: pushing everyone to find the means to see their ambitions through.
An exceptional fleet and a dedicated traffic plan
The bay of Concarneau is preparing to host a spectacular gathering on the water. To date, organizers have already registered more than 40 ocean-class boats, spanning Ultims, IMOCAs, Ocean Fifty, Class 40, Figaro Beneteau, and Mini 6.50. The spectacle will be rounded out by nearly 70 light sailing craft, including wingfoils and dinghies such as Optimists and Lasers. Local boaters and fishermen will also join the fleet, alongside six SNSM rescue boats, the tugboat Abeille Bretagne, and the French Navy patrol vessel Le Cormoran.
To manage the gathering, a land traffic plan has been set by municipal decree:

A charity film screening ahead of the event
Concarneau's Cineville theater is joining the tribute with a screening of the documentary L'Albatros hurleur. The film retraces Charlie Dalin's extraordinary Vendée Globe journey, his masterful victory, and the private battle he fought against illness.

- Ticket price: €5, half of which will go directly to the Fondation de la Vocation, which Charlie championed as its patron in 2025
Children at the heart of the tribute and celebration
Because passing the torch mattered so much to the skipper, 100 children from his son's school, Notre Dame du Sacré Cœur, will experience the event straight from the water. The maritime company Les Vedettes de l'Odet is chartering a boat especially for them, free of charge, so they can follow the parade up close. Alongside them, a fleet of Optimist dinghies will take to the water, a poetic reminder that every great sailor once stood as a child, dreaming in front of a boat.
Following the event: giant screen and live streaming
For those watching on shore, a giant screen will be set up on the Corniche. To let as many people as possible follow the tribute remotely, the event will also be live-streamed online. Technical details and the exact broadcast channel will be confirmed shortly and may be picked up by the media.

- 12:30 PM: Creation of a giant mural by the association La Forêt Verte on Kerleven Beach (La Forêt-Fouesnant)
- 4:00 PM: Public welcome with the band KerAoké on the stage set up on the Corniche near the giant screen, followed by a DJ set
- 5:15 PM: Official remarks on stage: Yannick Perrigot (organizer), Perrine Le Pape-Dalin, Jean-Luc Denéchau (President of the FFVoile), and Catherine Chabaud (Minister of the Sea and Fisheries)
