Understanding the ocean better to protect it better. That is the ambition behind Vendée Globe Foundation’s 2027 call for projects. As an endowment fund, Vendée Globe Foundation supports scientific and environmental initiatives dedicated to marine ecosystems.
The call is open to scientific research organizations and associations working to protect marine ecosystems, both in France and internationally. Eligible projects must be nonprofit, serve the public interest, and focus on the protection and understanding of marine ecosystems and/or raising awareness about them.
Selected projects may receive financial support from Vendée Globe Foundation. Funding requests may not exceed €25,000 including tax per year for national projects and €50,000 including tax per year for international projects, or account for more than 35% of the project’s total cost. All co-funding must also be secured by the application deadline.
Applications are open until midnight on October 31, 2026.
