In June 2014, Éoliennes en Mer Îles d'Yeu et de Noirmoutier (EMYN) won the tender launched by the French government for the development of an offshore wind farm off the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier. Since then, our teams have been hard at work on this major energy project for the Vendée, scheduled for commissioning by 2025.

At a time when we are collectively fighting climate change, this project represents a tangible commitment to the success of France's energy transition, and contributes in its own way to preserving the planet.

The Île d'Yeu et Noirmoutier offshore wind farm will comprise 61 wind turbines, each with an output of 8 MW.
The wind farm will be located 11.7 km from Port Joinville and 16.5 km from l'Herbaudière, on a seabed depth ranging from 19 meters to 36 meters.

With a total capacity of 496 MW, the wind farm is expected to generate an average of 1,900 GWh per year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around 800,000 people, or the population of the Vendée region.

Major offshore construction milestones achieved:
Wednesday June 5, 2024: The park's first monopile foundation was installed offshore. A total of 61 foundations will be installed by early 2025.
Wednesday, June 12, 2024: The substation was installed on its jacket foundation over a period of 3.5 days.
