Vendée Globe eSeries: here we go!

With just over two and a half years to go until the start of the 2028 Vendée Globe, the adventure is already underway... online! In partnership with Virtual Regatta, the Vendée Globe is launching a virtual round-the-world race in three stages, spread over three years. This unique immersive experience allows participants to experience the real conditions of the race and compete for exceptional rewards.

The goal: to prepare for the 2028 Vendée Globe... like a real skipper.

Virtual regatta

A ROUND THE WORLD RACE in 3 legs

The route follows the legendary Vendée Globe route, divided into three main legs:

LEG 1 – 2026

Les Sables d'Olonne → Cape Town (South Africa)
Start: 12 March 2026 at 6 p.m. (French time, UTC+1)

LEG 2 – 2027

Cape Town → Cape Horn
Start: 15 March 2027 at 6 p.m. (French time, UTC+1)

LEG 3 – 2028

Cape Horn → Les Sables d'Olonne
Start: 15 March 2028 at 6 p.m. (French time, UTC+1)

Simply participate and cross the finish line of at least one stage to officially enter the overall race ranking. 

For the top 10 finishers in each leg:

  • Nomination to join the Vendée Globe 2028 e-Skipper Pool (certified status with partners)
  • An exclusive in-game skin
  • A Full Pack offered for the next stage
  • Official Vendée Globe products

For the winner of the overall ranking (combined total of the 3 legs):

  • A VIP experience at the Vendée Globe 2028 village
  • €500 worth of official merchandise
  • A complete pack of options for the 2028 Virtual Vendée Globe

  • Nomination to the e-Skipper Pool (if not already obtained)
