To launch the summer season, the festivities will begin on Friday 3rd June 2022 with the Grand Parade of the 2020 Vendée Globe Skippers, to celebrate these men and women of the sea.
This parade will take place on the Remblai in Les Sables d'Olonne. It will begin from Place de Strasbourg from 9.30pm to Casino des Atlantes and will be punctuated by a firework display visible from the Grande Plage.
A privileged moment of sharing between the public and the skippers who have made them dream of the open sea during this time of pandemic and confinement.
Clarisse Cremer Will Race The 2024 Edition In Banque Populaire Colours Again
It seems like the 2020-2021 edition went so well that the Banque Populaire team have chosen to step up again for the next edition and continue their programme with Clarisse Crémer until 2024. This time she too will have boat new to her, not a new build boat. She will take over Apivia, with which Charlie Dalin finished the recent Vendée Globe first across the finish line, even if this time he had to hand the overall honours to Yannick Bestaven. For Clarisse Crémer, who finished 12th in the 2020-2021 edition on the 2012-13 race winning Macif (ex SMA, now this is a big step up in performance potential. Developed by Mer Concept, Apivia will stillbe a highly competitive boat in four years time especially as the Banque Populaire team will continue to develop it. Clarisse has just done the delivery back from Martinique on the boat. Meantime Dalin will race the boat until the end of the Route du Rhum 2022. He will then move to a new Apivia once again designed by Guillaume Verdier.

Behind the radiant smile there lies a resolute, talented fighter. Clarisse Crémer, the skipper of Banque-Populaire X may be an IMOCA and Vendée Globe bizuth, a rookie, but she is a fast learner and has a great mentor in defending champion Armel Le Cléac’h.
