An official gourmet supplier for the Vendée Globe: Brioches Fonteneau

It's one of the gastronomic specialities of the Vendée, and like the Vendée Globe, it's helping to promote the territory around the world! The Vendée brioche, and especially the Brioches Fonteneau, are authentic recipes with a unique flavour from the Vendée heritage.

Local roots, international reach

The family business based in Montaigu is also a success story in its own right: a story of craftsmen and entrepreneurs who have been attached to the land for generations. Anchored in the Vendée since its origins, the small bakery founded in 1977 has since evolved and expanded throughout France and beyond. It's a family adventure that, unlike the famous round-the-world voyage, wasn't undertaken alone, but with the support and expertise of all its employees. This sailing partnership is something new for the company, which wants to take advantage of it to share the adventure with its employees, customers and suppliers.

A double resonance

While the company wanted to become an official supplier to the Vendée Globe, it has also teamed up with Manuel Cousin, skipper of the IMOCA "Coup de Pouce", based in Les Sables d'Olonne since 2014. "Coup de Pouce" is an association that works to promote academic success by combating early school leaving. It's a worthy cause that resonates with the values of the race.
