Jean Le Cam (SynerCiel) is expected to cross the finish line early on Wednesday afternoon, followed, a few hours later, by Bernard Stamm (Cheminées Poujoulat, disqualified) and by Mike Golding (Gamesa).

What a stressful and busy night it has been for the three skippers approaching Vendée: Rough sea and 50-knot gusts. Jean Le Cam said the sailing conditions were "rock'n'roll".

At 2AM on Wednesday, as Bernard Stamm was sailing in 40 to 45-knot wind, the part keeping the keel jack attached tot he boat broke and Stamm then tried to keep the keel attached with two ropes. The operation was made even more difficult by the rough weather and sea state. The Swiss skipper should reach Les Sables d'Olonne by the end of Wednesday.

SynerCiel is expected to cross the finish line between 1 and 2PM

Gamesa is expected to cross the finish line between 5 and 6PM

Cheminées Poujoulat (Disqualified) is expected to enter the channel around 10.40PM
