Jean-Pierre Dick has rounded the tip of South America for the fifth time racing in his career as a skipper. He was six days and eighteen hours behind the leader, Armel Le Cléac’h, and two days and sixteen hours after third placed Jérémie Beyou. Fourth as he sails off Tierre del Fuego, the skipper from Nice is now feeling the pressure from the two boats chasing him, Jean Le Cam and Yann Eliès who are respectively only 140 and 150 miles behind StMichel-Virbac. Weather conditions are not loking favourable for the coming hours off Patagonia…

© Team S. Le DiraisonStéphane Le Diraison has finally moored up at Pier 35 in the port of Melbourne. It took him practically a fortnight aboard Compagnie du Lit-Boulogne Billancourt to reach Australia after his boat was dismasted on 17th December. Sailing using a jury rig and engine after refuelling at sea, the blue monohull has now been joined by the shore team, who will assess the damage before taking a decision about bringing the boat back to her home port.
