Virtual Regatta

CONTEST FOR THE BEST 3D VIEWER PICTURE OF THE VIRTUAL CIRCUMNAVIGATION #VGV3D

With the game’s evolution and the 3D viewer implementation, the game entered a new immersive dimension. Many of you have been tempted to record some moments of navigation. From the Southern Ocean storms to the Doldrums dead calms, including long surfs or close hauling in furious seas lit by the moon, the realism of the 3D views has been very inspiring. You’ve certainly kept these “postcards” of your journey around the world, and today we propose to share them with us on Twitter or Facebook, using the #VGV3D hashtag. Please share these moments and the best ones will be published in the last Virtual Vendée Globe News. So dig into you files…

Meanwhile…

The virtual sailors keep on arriving into les Sables d’Olonne at sustained pace. Thursday has been intense with 39,000 sailors who ended up their circumnavigation. Today, already 26,000 players reached the finish line and since Margael’s Matt Johnston’s victorious arrival, not less than 128,246 sailors have looped up the loop.

The density of the white dots is fading little by little but the giant armada is still very present in the Atlantic Ocean or even the Pacific Ocean. Have a safe journey everybody!
