© Great CircleLouis Burton is obliged to go a long way West to round the Azores high, which is back to a normal position. His route will therefore be longer than those taken by the first boats who benefited from unusual conditions in the North Atlantic. He should now be able to sail for several days on the starboard tack in a southerly flow between the depression which is close to Newfoundland and the anticyclone.
Behind, the conditions are complicated for Sébastien Destremau who had to slow down because of a low-pressure system. He should round Cape Horn before the end of the week with very strong north-westerly winds.
For the rest of the fleet, conditions are good.
